I Asked The Internet How To Get Over PCD And Here's What They Said
Post-concert depression, hits different after seeing your fave.
I have post-concert depression, and I’m not ashamed to admit that I already miss Jackson Wang. Jackson is an incredible artist, and I’m so grateful to have seen him perform twice so far. So I decided I would ask the K-Pop side of the internet how to get over post-concert depression (PCD).
I posted on Threads, “Best way to deal with post-concert depression? I’m looking for tips 💚” in the K-pop community tab. The post has since been seen over 600 times, and I was met with close to 17 responses, and here’s what people suggested!
I am so sad that I can’t embed Threads on here, but I’ve linked out the Threads responses for all of you to see.
Buy Another Ticket/ Have Another Concert Lined Up
I got a ton of responses that all said to buy more tickets. Jackson, unfortunately, is done with his US tour, but I do, in fact, have a few concerts coming up, including Hilary Duff, Lily Allen, Harry Styles, and possibly BTS.
Buying More Merch (albums + pcs)
Don’t tempt me with a good time! If there is one thing that I love to do is shop! I was lucky enough to secure some merch at Jackson’s concert, and I am planning on sharing a styling series with it. I do have another merch unboxing video coming soon!
If you do need more concert tee styling inspiration, I wrote all about it here:

Here’s how I styled it irl:
Watch Some Concert Videos on YouTube To Relive the Experience
I haven’t watched other videos, but maybe that’ll be my evening plans. For now, I’ve been rewatching my own concert videos a lot and sobbing.

Feel It But Also Keep Busy
User xiumins.eri said, “Feel it. It'll dissipate eventually. Keeping busy helps as well.”
I am certainly allowing myself to feel it and grieve that the experience is over. I have been feeling it a lot since I had a super crazy concert experience. Jackson was amazing, but the crowd was questionable. A lot of people kept trying to sneak to the front of my section, and it affected my concert experience in the worst way since security was nowhere to be found for a long time. I also literally fought a man trying to cut to the front of my section (yes, really.)
So, I have so many feelings about the show.
That concert made me cry more than any other concert I’ve been to. Jackson just makes me feel so much. MM2 is an album that Jackson did for him, so it’s personal. Even now, watching the videos of my favorite songs has made me tear up.
Work has been keeping me nice and busy, post-concert, and it just so happens the weekend after Jackson was BookCon. If you are curious about my experiences there, I’ll drop them here:
Make a list of songs and turn it into a playlist, so you can relive the night
This is a great way to deal with PCD, and thank you for inspiring me to put together this playlist! I haven’t really thought about doing this before, but it’s such a great idea! I haven’t made my own playlist yet, but shout out to Magic Man Brasil for making this!
See Local Bands In Between Bigger Shows
Shoutout to user i_am_sputnicholas who said, “I like to see local bands in between bigger shows. its the live music that soothes my nervous system and gives me a fix to hold me over.”
I’ve never thought about this before, and I love the idea of it so much. It’s something I’ll deffo consider! I live in NYC, so there’s always some kind of cool shows around the city.
Thank you to everyone who responded to my post on Threads! Let me know your favorite tip for getting over PCD in the comments below!
