2025 Goals Loading...
I'm so ready to tackle 2025.
It’s that time of year again when we share our new year’s goals. I prefer to call them goals rather than resolutions. Here’s why:
To my surprise, I was going to point out the differences between the definitions of resolutions and goals, but honestly, the definitions vary so much. Resolutions to me sound like a problem I have that I need to solve. Whereas to me, a goal is something to achieve through a course of action. I prefer the positive connotation vs the negative. I’m also a goal-oriented person, which makes things seem more achievable than aspirational.
I spent a lot of time thinking about what I’d like to accomplish in the next year, and it was kind of hard to decide what I wanted to achieve. In the past year, I've dealt with this forever-growing problem of what’s next and what my next goal should be. Each time, I've come up empty.
One of the big things that I’m trying to rethink is how I speak to myself and set goals. Instead of saying I want to lose 10 pounds and being upset when I don’t hit the number goal. I’m focusing on habits or techniques to help me get there. For example, instead of saying I want to lose weight, I’m saying my goal is to cook more nutritious meals for myself and get into that habit. ( yes, it’s also one of my actual goals, as well as examples). Read on to find the rest of my 2025 goals:
Cook more nutritious meals for myself. I want to incorporate more variety in my diet, which goes for cooking and eating out.
Try/ take some art classes ( making a candle, pottery, etc)
Take a cooking/ baking class ( I always down to level up my cooking skills )
Continue to bring you Beccaland at least once a week ( maybe more ;) )
Grow on social media platforms and work with more brands as a content creator.
Instead of buying new books, I want to conquer my physical TBR and use my Kindle more.
Go on a low-buy until Japan in April!
Complete my Ultimate Reading Challenge.***
Read more diverse books.
Work from cafes and grab coffee more often and with other freelancers and people in my industry.
Write the first draft of my book.
Get back into journaling.
*** The Ultimate Reading Challenge is basically a set of reading challenges, and when you succeed in one, you can open up a door and get a bookish prize. It was a birthday gift from one of my closest friends.***
I am planning on creating a vision board, so stay tuned for that because it will be shared later this month!
Do you have goals or resolutions for 2025, let me know in the comments!

The shift in mindset is such an important goal! I love how you differentiate the definitions of goals and resolutions. I definitely want to be kinder to myself and focus more on my favorite things: reading and writing. I have specific goals such as applying to an MFA and even a PhD program, because the worst that can happen is they don’t accept me! I’m hoping to open as many opportunities as possible as I know there’s many doors that can open for me! Wish you the best as well with all your goals!
Great list! I'm with you on the reading goals. I've been on a book no-buy and am using the library a lot more lately!
